Staying The CourseIn most of our lives, we set out with a clear idea of where we want to go. Along the way however, things change. Staying the course require flexibility with our plans while we remain committed to the mission.
RebootThere are times in life when it seems like nothing is working and we're just stuck. What we need is a reboot to gain fresh perspective and a whole new way of thinking.
In The MeantimeWhat do you do when there's nothing you can do? When life takes a turn for the worse and it seems as if there are no easy answers, our next move is the most important.
New DayThe tomb is empty. Jesus is alive! Because of the Resurrection, a New Day is upon us and life will never be the same again.
CarriersIn the midst of COVID-19, now is the time to remember that life is not meant to be lived in isolation. We have the potential for greater impact when we spread hope and joy, rather than fear and worry. What are you spreading?
Who is My Neighbor? When Jesus was asked to sum up everything into one command, he said to love God with everything we have AND to love our neighbor as ourselves. For many, the first step in loving our neighbor is learning their name.
WashedA new life can be found when we express our faith in Jesus Christ through repentance and baptism. Scripture teaches us that our baptism identifies us with Jesus and cleanses us of our sins. There are many questions surrounding baptism in today's world, but the most important question may be the one asked by the official in Acts 8:36 "Look! Water! What prevents me from being baptized"
RunAwayWhen someone tells us what to do, it's hard not to respond negatively and become defensive. Rather than listening or trusting the advice of someone in authority, it's easier to think we always know better. Therefore, we just do our own thing. In RunAway, we will see that turning away from God is never a good option. God does know what is best for us and He never gives up on us. It's time we stop running from God and start running with Him.
The Road AheadOur series, The Road Ahead. We start with "Knowing the Destination" because if we don't know where we are going, how will we know if we are on the right path? Our destination (aka, "vision") is a place where Nobody is Perfect | Everyone is Welcome | Anything is Possible. We believe this will look like a growing community of people who are loved and love others! We continue with "Trusting the GPS" and conclude with "Travelling Together."
My One WordThe concept of My One Word is simple. Lose the long list of resolutions - - - all your sweeping promises to change - - - and do something about one thing this year instead of nothing about everything. Choose just one word that represents what you hope God will do in you, and focus on it for an entire year.
God With Us"The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" (which means "God with us") Matthew 1:23. In every moment, we have God With Us. He is with us through the pain, He is with us in the waiting. God is with us when we feel all alone, and He is with us when we are anxious. No matter our circumstances, we can celebrate that God is with us.
The Chase for MoreWe are constantly chasing for things that make us happy or fulfilled. Unfortunately the things we chase make us feel like we are on a treadmill going nowhere. We are all seeking Comfort, Money and Approval but they fail to satisfy. It's time we chase what really matters.
